Nikki Chapple is a Principal Cloud Architect at CloudWay and a dual Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in Microsoft 365 and Security.

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping every organisation. As organisations adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI agents and intelligent business applications, the challenge is no longer simply enabling AI. It is ensuring AI operates on trusted, governed data.

My mission is to help organisations build Trusted Data for AI & Agents, through effective Microsoft 365 governance, data security, compliance and AI governance.

For more than 35 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of technology and business, helping organisations solve complex information management, governance and security challenges. Today, I specialise in Microsoft 365 Governance, AI & Agent Governance, data security and compliance, helping organisations understand what information is available to users, applications and AI, how access should be governed and how trust can be measured as technology adoption accelerates.

My work spans the Microsoft security, compliance, identity and AI ecosystem, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, SharePoint Advanced Management and the governance capabilities needed to support secure enterprise AI.

My Philosophy

I believe successful AI adoption starts with trusted, governed data, not the AI itself.

Technology will continue to evolve. New AI models, autonomous agents and intelligent business applications will emerge. The principles of trusted data remain constant.

That’s why I developed the Trusted Data for AI Framework, a practical methodology built around a simple principle:
